iPhone OS 3.0, iTunes 8.2 Beta Rolled Out

Apple has released the fourth beta of iPhone OS 3.0 along with iTunes 8.2 pre-release version. As mentioned earlier, Apple is on track with the iPhone OS 3.0 development with biweekly release. The third beta iPhone OS 3.0 beta was released on April 14. The fourth beta of iPhone OS 3.0 improves the speeds and brings other enhancements to the features of the OS.

However, it should be noted that these betas of iPhone OS 3.0 are available to developers registered with Apple under iPhone Developers Program. Installing the iPhone OS 3.0 beta 4 (build 7A300g) requires the new iTunes 8.2 pre-release for the iPhone or iPod Touch devices.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs once said that Blu-ray was 'bag of hurts' but support for the same was bound to arrive for the Mac OS platform. The iTunes 8.2 pre-release brings Blu-ray from Gracenote support as showed up on About screen as The iPhone Blog noted. However, we are not sure whether it's merely license update or ripping support for Blu-ray Discs.

Engadget had noted that it is the "Store" settings option that allows to sign in and sign out of the iTunes Account. While the user is signed in, an Account info button leads to the mobile Safari page where the information about purchases and credit card related information is given.

For syncing the notes with the iTunes 8.2 pre-release version using iPhone OS 3.0 beta 4 requires Mac OS X 10.5.7 (Juno) update installed on the Mac system. Dave Sizzle, who writes for AppleiPhoneApps.com, confirmed the same via an update on Twitter, the micro-blogging service.

Hence, this also indicates that new Mac OS X 10.5.7 update will be released soon. Maybe it will along with or before the iPhone OS 3.0 final version. Again, all eyes would be watching Apple at the Worldwide Developer Conference 2009 that starts on June 8.
