According to DonanimHaber Nvidia's fire breathing dual GPU car - the GTX 590 is all set to debut at the PAX East 2011 which takes place from March 11-13. The picture you see below is a prototype card from Galaxy which features two full fledged GF110 Fermi cores on a single PCB. The core will be linked most like with a PLX bridge chip like in the past and from the looks of the card, will support SLI. Expect the power consumption to be significant to say the least and nothing short of a 800W PSU would do.
AMD's HD 6990, which was supposed to launch last year, is also rumored to see the light of day sometime next month. With CeBIT starting from March 1, there's going to be an exclusive behind closed doors look at the GTX 590 for those lucky few who get the invite. Expect more coverage as soon as we get a whiff of some more details like the specifications and other performance figures.
