Curtains for HP’s Envy 13

Discontinued in favor of 14-inch model
HP has pulled the plug on its Envy 13 ultraportable notebook geared towards gamers and professionals with an eye for high performance.

The Envy 13 was introduced to take on Apple’s Air, but it was somewhat larger and quite a bit more powerful, offering discrete graphics and a host of other features rarely seen in such small rigs.

However, the market didn’t go for it, mainly thanks to the price, hence the Envy 13 joins Dell’s Adamo 13 in a Florida retirement home.

In contrast Apple’s MacBook Air, the oldest of the ultrathin 13-inchers is still selling, three years on.
