Motorola XOOM Review



                                                                                                                                                                      



The Motorola XOOM is a tablet pc that is running the Android operating system 3.0 alias “Honeycomb” and the NVIDIA 1 GHz Dual Core Tegra processor. There are a few other features that stand out. One is the big 10.1-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth version 2.1, 1 GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel back camera with video recording HD video and LED flash, a 2 megapixel camera for video calls, an internal memory 32-GB, 3G connectivity and a built-in battery that can run the device for up to 10 hours.
Like all the Android devices it is able to run all the Google services – Google Talk, Google Maps, GMail and Google Books, which allows you to use the device as an ebook reader like Amazon Kindle for example.

“It is light, strong and fundamentally different from all the other Tablets on the market, “said Bill Ogle from Motorola. “It is the first device that runs software specifically designed for tablets.” The tablet will get 32GB of SSD and 1GB of DDR2 memory.
The Xoom has both front and rear camera. Additionally, users can play Flash video software on the tablet computer from Motorola.





The Xoom was announced at CES by both Motorola and the U.S. carrier Verizon. The exact launch date of Motorola Xoom tablet is still not certain yet, but the telecommunications provider confirmed that it will be during the first quarter of 2011.
