I am using Foxit PDF reader since one year and never felt to replace it with any other pdf reader. Earlier I was using Adobe acrobat reader. Adobe acrobat takes a lot of disk space. After some day and some update i seen that it occupied more than 100 MB. Is their any need to keep a 100 MB pdf reader if their is a small but powerful version is available.
Foxit PDF reader is as little as 7.5 MB of download size and occupies about 10 MB after installation. where as Adobe Reader is 41MB in download size and takes 100 MB of disk space.
Cnet has provided it as a 4star stuff. According to their recent review:
The setup process has grown more cumbersome. It will automatically check you into the Foxit license agreement, and you are also opted-in to install the Foxit Search Bar that changes your default search provider to Ask and makes Ask.com your home page. It also opts you into the Foxit add-on for Firefox, and into creating desktop, quick launch, and Start menu icons that link to eBay. Also, in our tests, it commandeered the default PDF reader setting even though we unchecked that box.
On the other hand I would like to share something funny! According to Cnet Foxit PDF reader is 4stared (Out of 5) but Foxit’s site claims that they have 5 star cnet rating. See the image below. Its true that foxit takes a less memory space as compared to other options available. But I am still using adobe because I do find it much better and a powerful option.
