HP teases Fossil's Metal Watch Concept

Phil McKinney, HP's Personal Systems Group CTO, showed a Metal Watch concept at HP's Future of Innovation event. According to Phil, the concept behind the watch was to make it the aggregation point of connectivity that brings all the devices together instead of each operating individually reported PreCentral. No further details were divulged like how does the watch work, what can it do for you, and how does it connect all devices. It's more of a concept right now and maybe HP is consulting Tony Stark aka Iron Man on this project.

Six months ago, McKinney teased three blacked out prototype devices that were meant to go commercial. One of the devices was HP TouchPad that Phil was holding in his hand and other device was HP Palm Pre 3. The only gadget left out was the wrist watch which we presumed to be a kind of wearable electronic.

HP is investigating in the concept wherein the watch runs full software and integrates completely with the Internet. Don't ask if you would be able to browse web pages on it or not. The most important part is that the Metal Watch is mobile and wearable. Apart from that, it allows sharing connectivity and finally acts as single point of integration for all devices you own and carry around.
