Are you a God of War addict that owns an Android based smartphone? Well, we have good news for you. Sony is the first manufacturer that wants to bring console features to well-designed smartphones. Their latest idea, brought until now into a well-consolidated project state, aims to conquer all those people that play games on their cellphone, during buss stations, class-room brakes ( or hours ) or, simply at home, when tired of that old sake PC. The Sony PSP phone specs could make some smartphone burst in tears as Android 3.0 ( Gingerbread ) is expected.
Engadget sources claim that the Sony PSP phone specs will include a state of the art 1Ghz processor ( Snapdragon ), an 3.7 – 4.1 inch touchscreen with sliding capabilities, in order to make room for a platform packed with PSP style buttons and bumpers. The concept would be similar to QWERTY keyboard of the Motorola Droid but still holding the PSP design idea. It will also have a 5 megapixel camera.
Regarding the Sony PSP phone release date, it is rumored to be somewhere in October 2010. Although a gaming console running on Android will be hard to achieve, Sony claims that it will have an internal structure similar to the current PSP console. As the PSP2 console will soon be available, Sony makes their final run of 2010 engaging a strong relationship with Google.
Now if we take a look out of the box, some of these rumors seem unreal. Firstly, Sony will sure wait for Android 3.0 to be released and then design the whole internal area. A 1 GHz processor will be like a little grandma for the Gingerbread OS. That means different specs and a later Sony PSP phone release date. Secondly, Google will have to redesign the Android Market in order to make it more compelling for the latest gaming cellphone. All in all this project will be an ingenious one, we just hope Sony has time for it.
