Apple iOS 4.3.2 Untethered Jailbreak Arrives

Last week, Apple released iOS 4.3.2 update for iOS devices to fix certain FaceTime, 3G, and security issues. A couple of hours ago, the iPhone Dev team has released an untethered jailbreak via redsn0w 0.9.6 RC 13 tool for the aforementioned iOS 4.3.2 update. Untethered jailbreak allows the iOS device user to reboot the device anytime. There is no need to connect the device for every reboot.

Untethered iOS 4.3.2 jailbreak for iOS devices was achieved through independent iOS Security Research & developer Stefan Essar's (@i0n1c) exploit code. The new redsn0w 0.9.6 RC 13 untethered jailbreak applies to iPhone 3GS, iPod touch fourth generation, iPod touch third generation and iPad. The iPhone 4 owners will have to continue with the tethered jailbreak till the fix for the same is released by the iPhone Dev Team.

At this moment, the new redsn0w tool doesn't support jailbreak for iPad 2. Both iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS users, depending on ultrasn0w unlock to use any SIM module, will have to avoid updating their device with iOS 4.3.2 update.

Do note that redsn0w 0.9.6 RC 13 tool is available for both Mac OS X and Windows platforms.
