Ballmer to look into increased data usage Windows Phone 7

Microsoft is now searching reasons for why Windows Phone 7 is sending and receiving data without knowledge of the user. As users have ubscribed to monthly data plans so it becomes important for them to remain concerned about data usage.Users are complaining over excessive data usage, they complain that the data usage per day is about 30 to 50MB, which will easily cross the 1 GB permissible limit in 20 days.

Users are getting e-mails from network service providers about notification of usage limit. The majority of complaints are coming from US.The users are posting their experiences on various blog-posts and forums. The users say that they see huge chunk of data being transferred even when the phone is in idle mode, sometimes 2-5 MB per hour.
The problem is arising because of a "feedback" mechanism of Microsoft which asks users to suggest improvements in the softwares and operating system.Users also say that when they are near a wi-fi zone, instead of using a wi-fi network, the phone uses conventional 3G network.
The company is currently trying to find the main reason for this problem. After identifying the problem they will release a patch to update the software. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said that they will look into the matter and make some changes in improving the platform; there will be enhancement in features such as loading and switching of applications etc.
